    They will work together.

Have you got them to work together as "LAN" plugs?

You say nothing about your setup, what you have tried, and where it goes wrong.

I assume that the XAVB5421 is connected to the router. When you have got the two plugs talking to each other over the LAN, you can use the Netgear Genie to set up the wifi bit.

All this is in the Installation Guide for the XWNB5201 which should work just as well with the XAVB5421 as with the XWN5001.

Thanks. i managed to isntall them connecting them as you suggested and it works. But it only works if i dont "secure" the connection.

I tried pushing the secure button on only two (and the third wont work) but if i push them all then the one that i push last wont work either... so either way my secure connection doesnt work, just the open one . Tried all the different ways (always pushing the secure button on the one connected to LAN and the two other on different orders, even connecting them side to side and pushing the secure button of #2 and #3 at the same time)

I have: one XAVB5421 connected to the router, and the two XWNB5201

But, anyhow, it works, it will remain open i guess.

Thanks so much for your help, waaaaay better than the answers from Netgear technical support (is like talking to the manual... nothing extra)

You should be able to change wifi security and stuff with the Netgear Genie and the Powerline Utility.
