Can you buy an additional outlet?
Hello: I like the Powerline 2000 with the extra outlet. It works well. If it would work, I would like to purchase an additional outlet to provide connectivity to a device in another room. The idea would be to still have one device connected to the modem that delivers Internet to two outlets instead of one. I talked to a Netgear rep who said it should technically work but that they don’t sell individual outlets. This would mean I would have to buy an additional bundle to either connect two Powerline devices to my modem for the two outlets or have the one device connected to my modem glide both. Is it true they don’t sell the individual outlets? This seems to me to defeat the purpose of a node and really doesn’t make sense. Has anyone else dealt with this and solved it in a realistic way? Thank you.

As Powerline uses an industry standard, you can buy any brand of plug that you like. It will work with the Netgear plugs. If you can't find something, then second hand is the way to go.

Thanks, michaelkenward, for your reply. I don't know why Netgear makes it hard to buy an individual plug? I wanted to purchase one, but I couldn't find anything on their Website. When I called them, the salesperson wasn't sure if they or anyone else sold Netgear individual plugs. If plugs are standard then I can find one from a different manufacturer hopefully. Thank you.

Good luck. I have never found them, except for wifi AP plugs.
