Cant configure 500 Wifi with Net Genie on Mac

HI all, having some trouble. Actually, I'm not even sure if what I bought thos Powerline for is doable (kind of a bridge mode thing.)

Here's what I have:

• Att 2Wire router in the front of the house. Wifi is on and i have an ethernet Cable running to a Powerline 500 in plug outlet in front room.

•Wifi doesnt reach the back of the house

• Powerline 500 wifi XWNB5221in an outlet in the back room. They seemed to be paired with Green, Amber Pick-APlug (My ATT DSL isnt the fastest. Is that why it's amber or are my outlets crap?) and the Blue Wifi is on.

 • Now a new Wireless network NETGEAR EXT shows up when I scan wireless networks and I'm assuming its the Powerline XWNB522. Full bars but no internetconnection (Obviously, I need to configure it)

* Downlaoded NetGear Genie for Mac (Have a new Imac 27 inch) plugged Ethernet into XWNB522 and into the iMac like the intructions said. my Imac gets internet throught the wired connection, which is good.

• Network map on Genie shows a bunch of devices with ip addresses (Smart TV, Playstation. etc which are all up in the front of the house, so interesting it sees them in the back of the house through the ethernet)

• I unplugged the powerline and plugged back in to see which deivice IP dissapeared/appeared and think I have the right one on the map, but there is NO right click pulldown menu like the intructions say there will be. No WIRELESS CONFIGURATIONS option...nothing. Just an Info pane which says I can modify, but all that does is rename it and swtich connection to wirelss/wired/auto. No matter what I click, I get no options so set up this powerline and configure it.

I want to give it the same SSID/Password of my ATT 2Wire from the front of the house  so it can now kick my Wifi Signal back there. Ethernet cable coming out of the Powerline works, but how do I get the Wifi comng out of the powerline (which is now NETGEAR EXT to turn into my network? Does it have to be in range of the 2Wire, or can it get what it needs from the electircal outlet? that's kind of a bridge mode, right? If that should work, why can't I configure it with NetGenie?

I heard the NetGenie app doesnt work with Mavericks or later. Is that true?

Lots of questions, I know, haha!

Thanks in advance!

      Awesome. Thanks so much!

Provided I can configure it, this setup should work with the XVN unit getting signal from the plug outlet then transmitting WifI? It doesn't have to be in wifi range of my ATT2wire in the front of the house, correct?

Yes thats right the Wi-fi extender is getting its internet connection through the powerline adapters, and then broadcasting its own Wi-Fi signal.  So as long as the two adapters connect it doesn't matter how far they are away from each other.  You can therefore use your router to provide a Wi-Fi connection at one end of the house and the extender at the other (depending on how big your house is, obviously!)
