FTP for Clients
I set up a FTP on my home computer and I am using the PL1000 model to connect my PC to the internet. My problem is my FTP will not work over the powerline product. I have the ports forwarded to my local IP address but will not connect. I have done this in the past so I know what I am doing networking wise. I also have a sql server on my PC and I can,t connect to it either. Any help?
Thanks,
Bob
Are you implying that FTP works if you plug your PC directly into your router, but it does not work in conjunction with the PL1000? The PL1000 is just a bridge, so it should not interfere with the IP networking layer.

Thank you for your response. I haven't tried that because I moved to a new house and it was working with the router I am currently using at my old house which was directly plugged into the router. My external IP address changed but not the local address. The only change is the PL 1000. I though maybe the ports weren't being forwarded through the PL1000.
