How do I combine a PL1200 with a PLW1000 on the same network/mains?
Hi
Wonder if anyone can help. Have tried to set up the PL1200 and the PLW1000 on the same mains/network but seems to be having issues (i.e. Either the PL1200 works and the PLW 1000 doesn't or vise versa). Either one pair work or the other but NOT both together. Is there an issue with connecting both together?
Many thanks

If you factory reset all units they should then have the same encryption key (password) of HomeplugAV, and will 'talk' to each other.
If not, Netgear have a guide on how to add new units to existing powerline adapters:
I hope this helps

Out of the box, two different sets aren't going to have the same key.
So jump immediately to clithes's link. That is what you need.
Here is a tidier version that goes to the same place:

Thanks for the suggestion and aplogies for late reply.
Tried over the weekend but still seemed to have a conflict.
(1) Left existing PL1200 (pair) live on my network
(2) Factory Reset the PLW1000 units by plugging in (on the same ring main as whole house in on one ring) and pushing the Factory reset
(3) Then followed instructions. Pushed SECURITY button on the existing PL1200 (one of them) - light flashes.
(4) Then pressed SECURITY button on the new PLW1000 unit - light flashes
(5) Left them to pair BUT when light stops flashing - existing PL1200 is fine but the new PLW1000 doesn't make a connection as has a red light which I presume means that it's not conneting (the PIck a Plug LED).
I was going to RESET ALL and try again?
Thanks for any suggestions.
