How to change the airplay name of XAU2511 without a netgear router?

I use a XAU2511 in a network of dlan-compatible powerline adapters of another brand (devolo). Everything works fine - airplay streaming is possible.
But it seems that a netgear router like XAV1601 is needed to display the netgear components in the netgear genie tool (by using that tool it should be possible to change the name following the user manual). If I start the netgear genie tool no powerline components are displayed at all...

By going to the website of the device (XAU2511) by using the local IP adress, I am able to change the second part of the name in the "USB storage" -> "Basic settings" menu (e.g. from "XAU2511-f0" to "XAU2511-LR").
Is there a way to change even the full name ("LivingRoom" instead of "XAU2511-LR")?
