Netgear PL 1000 keeps disconnecting every single day

Does that mean that "Pick a plug" LED? (There are three LEDs on the plug.)
If so, one cause of this can be that your PL1000 has "Standby mode" enabled. That seems to be the default state.
Believe it or not, Netgear no provides a utility to control this. Fortunately, the ZyXel alternative does work.

You could also check the settings in Windows for any LAN connections that you make to the powerline network. These can also have a "sleep mode" that turns off the LAN port to save energy.
