PLP1200 - blinking Pick A Plug LED

My Powerline pair PLP1200-100PAS  has been working well for the past few months since I set it up.

However, I have been seeing some disruption and instabilty with the extended network. And both  adapters are  showing blinking red-green Pick A Plug LED indicator. The rest of the indicators are green. Manual or documentation has no info on this at all. Could any one suggest what could be the reason (nothing changing in the network at all).

    Did you ever get an answer for this?  My PLW1010 randomly stopped working after over a year and the "Pikc a plug LED" button now switches between green and red.
