PLP2000 upload speed is slow.

Hello Netgear community!

I've recently installed a PLP2000 kit. The download speed is fine (120Mbps) but the upload. Not so much. .4-2Mbps.

Wired to the router I'm getting 1-1.2Gbps down and 40-50Mbps up.

Suggestions?

It would help to know how this Powerline adapter is being used.

    • To connect an individual device to the router?
    • To connect the router to a modem or fiber ONT?
    • To connect a satellite to a router?

The more detail the better. Thanks.

have you tried thees powerline devices on the same circuit? It wouldn't be the first time that interference or circuit separation (running through an ARC fault circuit) reduced speeds

  • Hey! Try these quick fixes:

    1. Plug both units directly into wall outlets—no power strips.
    2. Avoid outlets near noisy appliances (fridge, microwave, etc.).
    3. Reset both adapters: Unplug, wait 30s, plug back in, then press reset button 2-3s.
    4. Test with units closer together or on the same circuit.
    5. Use Cat5e/Cat6 cables and check LEDs (green = good).

Upload should hit 20-30Mbps if the line’s clean. Let us know!

  • Thanks for the suggestions all. Turns out to be something bizarre with the Windows install I hadn't run into before. Still troubleshooting it.
