PLW1000v2 has no ethernet connection in PLP2000 network
Hi,
I have a huge problem with a PLW1000v2 adapter connecting to the already existing and secured network of PLP2000 adapters!
Since the first one cannot connect to the existing ethernet network ...

How many plugs do you have in total?
There is a long running "discussion" around here among people who have tried to get up to six, I think it is.
I assume that you are adding the new plugs in the specified manner:
>>> Adding a powerline adapter to an existing powerline network <<<
I disagree with the advice in the quick start guide "Plug the adapter into a wall outlet where you want to add Internet access."
I find it easier to set them up in close proximity and then to move the new plug to where I want the internet access.

There is a generic Powerline User Manual somewhere at the end of this link:

Not that it adds much.
It would also be nice to have a decent software utility but Netgear seems to have left it to the likes of ZyXel to do that.

3 PLP2000 adapters are already running and working perfectly together.
And Yes, I installed all the adapters next to the router.
Neither the quick start nor the documetation are helpful in this case.

A description on how to handle the router settings is needed here!

There is nothing to "handle" on the router. It just manages LAN traffic.
Is it just the wifi plug that refuses to play ball?

Well, Yes, my opinion but not the tech person's who offered to configure my router remotely. Which of course is not an option!!!
And Yes, it seems that the PLW1000v2 model just not working with the existing PLP2000s.
