Powerline 1000v2 adapter has third status light red sometimes

Question

I am using a Nighthawk EX7000 extender and have this plugged into the PL1000. All is working perfectly all the time. Occasionally on the PL1000 I will note the third green LED will turn red and then back to green. I would say it's green 95% of the time and I suffer no apparent disruption of my internet service through the PL1000. I was just curious as to what's going on and if this is and indication of a problem or future problem. As I mentioned all my NETGEAR equipment is working as advertised and solved my problem without any fuss. As I mentioned when I look at the extender or the PL1000 I have all green status lights but just occasionally I will have this third red indicator and then it will go green again.

Just curious.

That's probably the "Pick A Plug LED".&nbsp;It is telling you that the data rate is changing. There may be some interference on the mains. Thanks for taking your time to respond. I'm not very worried about it as all is working very well. But yes, the manual, the NETGEAR customer service does leave a whole lot to the imagination. Fabulous products practically nonexistent customer sevice or help.
