Powerline 1200 Ground Terminal
I will be traveling to Mexico next month and while there I was planning to use Powerline 1200 devices to extend Internet to other parts of the house.
The problem I forsee is that I am pretty sure that most of the plugs in the house only have 2 terminals (Hot & Neutral). The ground terminal is not used.
I noticed that the Powerline 1200 has 3 prongs (Hot, Neutral & Ground). If I use a 3 Prong to 2 Prong adaptor, will the Powerline 1200 still work?
Will it work at a slower speed? Or am i better off using another product (Powerline 500) that only requires 2 prongs?
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Dan

Hi dancalv,
Welcome to Community!
It should still work of you plug the 3 prong powerlin adapter to a 2 prong adaptor. The purpose of the ground prong is to prevent the powerline from being damaged if there will be a short circuit. But before using it, check first the power specification of the device if it is applicable in the region that you will be using it, for example the voltage and the ampere.
