Powerline 2000

I installed a Powerline PLP2000 adapter in an attempt to make my home wiring a network for streaming of videos, etc.

I followed instructions to sync the two devices, but when I connected the device closest to my AT&T 5268AC router, my internet was disconnected. This has happened multiple times.

When I discussed this with a Crutchfield Electronics service tech, he said the problem may be related to my slow internet speed, which is 3.5 mb.

Can anyone help me?

I cannot follow the layout of your powerline network.

What is "the device closest to my AT&T 5268AC router"?

Possible. That is terribly slow. Maybe you are just asking it to do too much. Your chances of streaming video from the internet are close to zero. Local streaming might work.

The device closest to my AT&T Model 5268ac router is one of the two identical devices provided in the shipping package.

I still have trouble trying to understand what is going on.

You plug one Powerline plug to an ethernet socket on the back of the router, then what happens?

You say "my internet was disconnected".  What does that mean? There is a light on the router that changes? The wifi dies? Something else?

What loses the internet connection? And what messages pop up?
