Have you updated the firmware to the most recent version (0.3.0.6) ? Also, have you tried disabling standby mode to see if it makes any difference?

Pop onto Netgear's support page:
http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/
And type in XAVB5201 in the search box. Choose version 1 or 2 depending on which type you have (check the label on the back of the unit)
Firmware and instructions will then be provided by Netgear for you to help you update the firmware. Depending on the model you may also have a setting you can change to disable sleep mode.
