Powerline 500 xavb5421 Issues
I have just dug these powerlines out my drawer and have attempted to connect my sons PS4. As soon as I plug the powerline into my existing router it drops all other devices off the internet and then makes my routers ADSL light blink until I unplug it. I have done a reset on both powerline plugs and changed the power sockets used. I have plugged them in to the same room but no differeence. DO I need to access their IP mo make any changed as they were originally setup at another address but with the same ISP with same default gateway etc. Im baffled.

What router do you have and where exactly are you plugging these in ? It sounds like you may be plugging the powerline adapter into the WAN socket of your router, and not one of the (typically) 4 Lan sockets
If they are paired (in fact even if they are not) they shouldn't have any detrimental affect on the router by simply plugging them in

It does not matter which socket I use. I am using the latest BT Home Hub and i`ve tried it in every LAN socket except the red socket for obvious reasons you have just mentioned.

Hi MikeSmith69,
Please connect the 2nd adapter in same room with the 1st adapter where it is connected to the router. When resetting make sure it plugged in to the socket.
