I have the same issues. I missed my 90 day window, because I thought I could set it up myself. Netgear made it sound like any 'nonthechy' could do it, well I couldn't. Went through all the troubleshooting info, and everything I could find on the internet and Netgear sites. My units will not find each other no matter where Im plug them in in the house. I think I wore out a paperclip resetting the units to factory settings. There has to be some procedure that will solve this problem. I just need to find the 'techy' that is able to explain it to me.

What lights do you see when you plug them in?
You'll see what they should be on page 7 of the manual:
PLP1200 | Product | Support | NETGEAR
The easiest way to set them up is to put them close to each other in the same room. Then when they are set up you can move the "remote" plug to where you want it.
