Powerline or powerline + wifi
I am looking for advice on powerline adaptors as I have blackspots around my house. I have been advised to get a setup with states '+ wifi'. I have looked around and some kits state plus wifi and others just mention wifi adaptors. Is there a difference between the two?
Thanks in advance for any advice :)
P.S. I have Virgin Fibre 50 installed

Are you planning to expand a wifi network? Or are you extending a LAN (wired) network that you can plug things into?
If it is wifi, then you have two options:
- Get powerline plugs that double as wifi extenders.
- Get powerline plugs and use their LAN outputs to drive wifi extenders
The first of these is easiest if you want just one wifi extender. That's because Netgear, in its wisdom, does not sell single powerline plugs that double as wifi extenders.
If you want the first option, the thing to look for is Powerline + wifi in this catalogue:
Powerline Networking | Powerline Ethernet | NETGEAR
I am not familiar enough with the wifi repeaters to know which can "eat" the LAN signal and broadcast that as wifi.
A wifi adaptor is a different beast. It is something that you plug into a PC so that it can connect to a wifi network.
