Powerline PLP2000 Very Slow
I just installed 1 pair of PLP2000 on my network. This is my first time using them. One is connected to my router LAN Port. The other one I have connected to my laptop for testing. When I run speed tests using speedtest.net, I am only getting 40-45Mbps. My ISP is giving me 200Mbps. Even my existing MOCA adapters are giving me 150Mbps!!!!
To say the least, I am very very disappointed with these results. What is wrong? What can I change/fix?

I have the same problem. bought a pair a while ago, plugged them in, 95M at the router end and speedtest shows 87M at the device end, everything is good. Bought another pair recently, plugged it in and its down to 40M (a drop of more than 50%). Ironically, the one showing the higher speed is showing red on the Pick-a-plug light while the lower speed is showing green (this is opposite of what the manual indicates).
As quoted from the manual for the Pick A Plug LED:
Red link Rate < 50 Mbps (good).
Amber link Rate > 50 and <80 Mbps (better).
Green link Rate > 80 Mbps (best).
Can anyone help with resolving this?
Since my initial install, I have done couple of things to very very slightly improve things.
1. Complete factory reset.
2. Move router to a different wall outlet for power, because it's power wart was plugged into the extra outlet of the PLP2000.
I am now getting 100-124Mbps in both directions. Pick-a-plug has always been green for me. But still nothing faster than about 125Mbps. I was hoping to get into the 200-800Mbps range, so this experience has been very very disappointing. This is basically no faster than what I can get with WIFI in the house. I also have a support case open with tech support, and that is where I got the suggestion to factory reset both units, so that may help you in your situation since the Pick-A-Plug is not displaying the correct colour.
But at this point I am most likely going to buy more MOCA adapters, as I know I am approaching close to 200Mbps with my MOCA 1.1 units and likely replace those with MOCA 2.0 units down the road.
I even tried one more thing, which was plug the 2nd unit into a wall out that was almost 3 feet from the router outlet, ie on the same circuit. And that did not substantiallly improve the speed in anyway. So I am not sure how and why they are advertising these units as capable of 2Gbps......
