Good thinking. That has been an issue with Powerline plugs.
Unfortunately, Netgear no longer provides management software for its plugs. But the programs from other brands seem to do the job.
Also cant log into the mywifiext page for this, never have been able to, get connection refused.
How are you going about it? If you can find its IP address, throw a browser at that. Might let you in.
Not sure that you will find the power settings in there. I no longer use my WiFi plus. Instead, I use the plugs to connect AP devices to the network.
Found the IP address off my router and tried it in old Internet Explorer - success! The Netgear Genie portal loaded up fine. Unfortunately nothing in there that allows me to turn off the power saving feature. I have Firmware Version V1.0.0.18 dont know if thats going to make any difference
Any suggestions as to some management software that will let me turn that **bleep** off? Cant believe Netgear are still selling product that they no longer provide management software for, these things are still widely available here, I bought mine a week ago and there was plenty more in stock

ZyXel is one name that has cropped up here. I used it a while back.
And it isn't just the WifI plug that needs attention. They all suffer from sleep disorders.
You can either search for something suitable on Google, or see what turns up with a local search.
