Windows can be a beast with "new" networks. Have you tried running the PC through the Windows Network toubleshooter?
Exact details depend on your Windows version. But another thing to check is the network setting.
Windows likes to protect us from new networks that might be evil. In reality, it often shuts us out of safe networks.
