Thanks for the info. On the box, the package content states Powerline Adapters (PL1000v2)
From what I read, the ISP modem/router from Frontier probably is not recognized by the Genie.
The ethernet cable from the Powerline device goes into a Linksys10/100 8 port workgroup switch.
This switch is needed to share the ethernet feed from the Powerline to other components.
If I read you correctly, I can ignore the router setting login?
I will attempt to connect using WiFi a Samsung internet TV, which should have nothing to do with the Powerline.
I used a SECOND older Powerline device to obtain an internet feed to go to the TV.
I was NOT able to configure the TV when going through the Linksys workgroup.
Please confirm if my thinking is correct?
Glad to purchase any new Netgear device to achieve a higher speed connection if such an item exists.
Any recommendations?

I'm sorry, but I cannot follow what is connected to what here, or how many Powerline devices are involved. Nor can I really see what you are trying to do.
So, let's start at the beginning.
You have a modem/router. You want to connect devices to that.
The chain is Modem/Router > Powerline > Powerline > Switch > Powerline > TV
The PL1000v2 Powerline plugs have nothing to do with wifi.
You say that you have an older Powerline device for the TV. Have you added that to the existing Powerline plugs? Here's how to do it:

Thanks for the link.
Understand that my description departed from the design function of the Powerline device.
Since WiFi is not an application for your product, I will just ignore the Genie login.
I'll close this inquiry at this point.

The desktop genie does not work only for wifi products. It will also work with wired devices.
