Wireless network of XAVN2001 doesn't show up
I've properly connected my AV 200 adapter (XAV2001) with the wireless extender (XAVN2001), and am able to directly connect a PC via ethernet cable to the extender with good results.
I want to connect a second PC to the extender wirelessly. However, the XAVN2001's wireless network simply does not show up as an available wireless network on the PC (or any smartphone or tablet for that matter).
Windows, of course, does not support WPS, so attempting that option is out. How can I get the XAVN2001's wireless network to broadcast/appear? Any help would be highly appreciated. :)
BTW, and FWIW, the Powerline Utility has been useless since it simply tells me there is "o device in the network" -- this despite the fact I also have a Netgear WNR1000v2 router, and the Smart Wizard Router Manager at routerlogin.com has no problem recognizing the router (and the attached XAVN2001).

- MayagrafixAspirantThe adapter with 3 leds (XAV2001) is hooked up via CAT5 to the router. It has no wi-fi capabilities.
The extender with 4 leds (XAVN2001) is the wi-fi access point, make shure to turn on wireles option (blue light LED is on) via the Powergear Utility software.
Use Powergear Utility Software to name network (SSID) and give name to both adapter and extender modules. It will also ask u to create pasword, remember it!
Should work flawlessly :o - JasW1957Aspirant

Yeah, I should have updated here. Right after I posted, I tried again, and had no problem connecting to the network. Don't know what the initial deal was, with the devices seeing the network yet not being able to connect, but it was temporary (like less than 15 minutes). Everything works perfectly now. - RobbieOaxAspirantHave you checked if the radio interface is enable? Do you see the wifi LED turned on blue? There is an option in under advance wireless setting, where the radio can be disable. Just factory reset the unit using the reset buttom for 10 secs. Then look for NETGEAR_EXT SSID again...the blue LED should be on.
For unit management try now using netgear genie instead powerline utility.
By the way, Is your XAVNB2001 the new pack with xavn2001v2/xav1301 or old one with xavn2001/2101?
