XAV2001 interferes with wireless MS Keyboard!
I have installed a the Powerline AV 200 Ultra adapter system to power my BluRay DVD player internet access. The player is too far away from my WiFi router. It works great.
However, I just tried to use my MS wireless keyboard and found the keys would work very hit and miss when typing. Since the Powerline is the new feature of my system and I never had a problem before, I unplugged the XAV2001 and lo and behold the keyboard works fine. Plug in the XAV2001 again and the keyboard again starts to be a problem when typing.
1) anyone else seen this?
2) how do I fix it?

this is just ethernet power line so should not effect wireless keyboard but something is interfere with your keyboard. - allenrAspirantThanks. I just logged this case with Netgear. I hope there's a solution, otherwise the Powerline gets returned - I can't work without my wireless keyboard!
- allenrAspirantI found this related comment on the web...
Interfering with your keyboard:
On a more local level, there have been instances of Comtrend Powerline adaptors interfering with wireless keyboards and mice. You'll find references to the problem here, as well as some BT tech support suggestions on how to deal with it.
"To put this into perspective we've shipped into the UK over half a million pairs of adaptors, and we've had 20 customers who've had interference issues – and we've managed to resolve all of those," says Lishawa, who adds that the solution is often to 'notch out' or block the offending frequencies via the adapter. - stijnrAspirantHi,
I've got the same problem with my Logitech wireless desktop (S510 and LX5).
They both work ok until I start downloading. When I download at max speed (1.9MB/s) they will only work when I bring them real close to the wireless receiver, at then still with keystroke misses and such.
I just opened a support call for this at Netgear, I'll wait and see how they respond.
Stijn - allenrAspirantI too found that locating the receiver for the keyboard and mouse within 5 or so inches of them solves the problem.
Netgear asked me to call them to resolve the issue, but I was not able to do that since I am working a long way from home and had to return to work after the holidays.
There is clearly an RFI problem with these devices - jmizoguchiVirtuosointeresting...
when you have time please report your issues by going to my.netgear.com and use "open technical submission "
I would say this is one of those issue where shield needs to be design into the XAV unit itself so you may need to move the XAV be away from the interference.
or could be fun modding ... :) - allenrAspirantI did try plugging the Powerline in another outlet that was about 6 ft away from the keyboard, rather than 3 ft and the effect was the same - strong RF signals emanate from the device!
- jmizoguchiVirtuosoI have XAV1004 and it's been about 6ft away from me but never seems to have issues with my logitech wireless (nano mouse). Must be just in XAV2001 models..
- stijnrAspirantMy NETGEAR case number is 14227679.
They already responded and opened a new ticket (# 14234690) that they escalated to a higher level.
So far I'm pretty impressed with the quality of support and speed of response. - jmizoguchiVirtuosoHope they will assist your on this. :D:D
