A6200 and A6210 connect with 802.11n but not 802.11ac

Netgear R6300 Router, Windows 10.  My A6200 and A6210 connect with 802.11n but not 802.11ac.  My Intel AC7260 and Linksys WUSB6300 connect with 802.11ac just fine.  I've tried distances from 6 feet to 20 feet and various positions.  I've bought a boatload of these for a class, any idea how to get them to work?  Because of the number of people and bandwidth required I need 802.11ac to work.

A6200 has A6200-beta-V1.0.0.35 driver.  I didn't see a firmware update.

A6210 has A6210_v1.0.0.34 driver.  I didn't see a firmware update for this either.

I see that other people have ha this problem as well with different Windows versions.

  • Hi paulj,

Are you using the same computer for the A6200, A6210, Inter AC7260 and the LinkSys adapter to test the AC connection?

I just tried it on a second computer, HP ENVY Phoenix Desktop, same problem, my A6200 and A6210 connect with 802.11n but not 802.11ac and my Linksys WUSB6300 connects with 802.11ac just fine.

I also tried these at work where we have new Cisco commercial WAPs, same results, my A6200 and A6210 connect with 802.11n but not 802.11ac and my Linksys WUSB6300 connects with 802.11ac just fine.

        Hi paulj,

Can you provide screenshots that shows 802.11N connection instead of 802.11AC.
