A6210 USB 3.0 Adapter

Dear Tech Support... I selected the standalone install which was supposed to be drivers only. But it installed the Genie software as is evedent because it can be uninstalled thru control panel / ...

I would like to use the Netgear AC1200/A6210 USB WiFi adapter on my Windows 8 (64 bit) system without the overhead of Genie.

Windows8 automatically installs the Media Tek, Inc. 5.1.19.0 driver( without Genie).

Previously, I installed the A6210_v1.0.0.28-standalone-signed.exe package I downloaded from Netgear support here. But I would have had to disable a lot of files to get rid of Genie.

Files installed by NETGEAR A6210 Genie:

A6210.EXE - Genie Application (A6210 Genie MFC Application)
NtgrAdapterUpdate.dll - Netgear Adapter Update Interface (Adapter Update)
NtgrAdapterUpdateOld.dll
ICSDHCP.dll (by Ralink Technology) - ICSDHCP Dynamic Link Library (ICSDHCP DLL)
RaWLAPI.dll - RaWLAPI Dynamic Link Library (RaWLAPI DLL)
Ralink.dll - Ralink Dynamic Link Library (Ralink DLL)
