AC5300 adapter ETA

What is the ETA of such a device?

I do really don't know why people is purchasing SSD able to write and read more than 400Mo/s if they only have a crappy wifi inboard crapp able to perform max 10Mo/s!!!!!

  • It doesn't really make sense to build an AC5300 adapter.  That would be a tri-band adapter.  Unlike routers, Wi-Fi adapters use only one band at a time.  They'll connect either at 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, not simultaneously.

     

    The fastest 802.11ac adapter that makes sense to build would be a dual-band, 4x4 stream adapter, like the one below.  It's an AC3100 class adapter (2100 Mbps at 5 GHz or 1000 Mbps at 2.4 GHz).  You need a 4x4 stream router, also.

      I have a R8500 so not a problem.

      An AC 5300 adapter would be great to use MIMO in order to bond channels and bandwidth!
