Can't set the 5MHz network

Hello,

I bought an network adapter A6100 net gear. My provider added a 5 MHz network and it's recognized by my mobile phone but not the new wifi adapter A6100.

Can someone help me how to set it up? There are several networks available while scanning but not the 5MHz and I need it. That's why I bought this wifi network adapter.

Please someone help me

I'm running it under windows 10 on a Asus laptop K95VB

Regards,

Btodsk

  • Hi btodsk565,

Can you check the properties of the device and make sure to check both.

      OMG james,

Do you have a check list for these "solutions" you give?

Checking "2.4 only" box deep in the card properties page is not something most people will do.

Tell the poor man the truth.   The 6210, heck, any 6XXX card is NOT 5g compatable!!!!

I am going to be on this board spreading the truth about the defective (and insulting you*) 6210 card until:

      1.   I get a refund

      2.  I feel like I have harmed Netgear $70 X 100

      3.  I get banned.

      * Having been a mod at a large board before, I can feel your pain.   I cannot, however abide your "intro to PC" silly answers when you know the card does not work.

      Hello JamesGL,

I can't see the same settings like you have here. There is no possibility to change wifi mode to 2,5 & 5 MHz. I see different settings. I tried like the package the 802.11 a/n/ac but it doesn't show the wifi 5 MHz network. On my samsung S7 I can see this network available.

Please take a look at the pictues in attachment.

      Thank you

  • Followed thru the installation CD step by step? Don't plug in the adapter until asked for.

Or just install the driver and see what happens.

  • Auto or 802.11ac or a,n,ac should all allow 5 g connectivity.

If you had a different card it would to!

Sadly, you have a netgesr card, and it does not work and probably never will.
