Connectivity issues with A7000
So a few months ago I started having problems with my netgear a6210 wifi adapter. It started to receive reduced signal strength and constantly saying that I was conected but no internet was avalible. Repeadetly disconecting and reconecting the device would sometimes solve the problem ffor a bit. So I decided to fork oveer some extra money and upgrade to the a7000 thinking that this cheaper one must have become faulty or something of the sort. The a7000 worked ffine ffor a ffew months now I'm hhaving thee same issues again. I conneect to an inffinity hotspot public network and I also uuse a secured XFINITY connection I know they have 802.11 ac 5GHZ connections. I've tried using eveery USB 3.0 port on my PC and I've usued the wired adapter that comes with the a7000.
I've made sure my netgear drivers are up to date, i've uninstalled and reinstalled. Installed older netgear drivers, updated all out of date drivers on my PC, made sure windows 10 is fully up to date, I even updated my motherboard BIOS thinking there might be a problem with my USB 3.0 ports... All other wifi enabled devices I own like my android smartphone and laptop connect and stay connected to these networks just fine. I've scoured these forums and other tech forums for a potetinal fix and spent hours trying everything. Disabling power saving options, updating/rolling back drivers, tried the stand alone drivers, disabled the runusb service, etc. you name it. Sometimes, it will seem to work fine only to drop out on me as soon as I let my gaurd down. I don't think there is anything that can be done to help me but im desperate at this point. I'll also add someetimes I will have full signal strength and it says im conected but the internet still doesn't work. I apologize for thhe typos and double leetters in some off thee words I think my keyboard is starting to malfunction due to me beating my head over it for the past week trying to ffix this issue.

Think you have done it all, like I have....
Have your tried to remove the cable out of the issue, plug the device into the computer directly?
Seen a couple of posts on faulty docking stations.Didn't fix my issues.
As for Typo's, spell check doesn't work on this site *Shrug*

I uninstalled all the drivers and used a program called driver booster to clean all the old plug in device files offf of my PC and just shut down my PC for the night. This afternoon affteer work, I reinstalled the newest drivers and i've been able to maintain a steady connection since. I had to disable the switchUSB service again but so far so good. fngers crossed.

I gave up just bought an EdiMax for $25, rock solid, no issues.
Yes they do burn out after 6-9 months, but they just work out of the box.
Local store still have 10 left, so I might just stock up on them each visit.
Never going to trust Netgear again in my purchases.
