Failed to join wireless network
It seems I am not alone. I have tried everything suggested in previous posts and am getting nowhere. A6200 wifi adapter refuses to connect to recently acquired D6200 router. Router works fine for 2.4...
You should try 5Ghz been both adapter and router is 802.11AC.
Lower connection of 2.4Ghz size maybe a sign of saturated 2.4Ghz around where you live?
Router has capable of lowering the speed to manage in saturated area (neighbor friendly feature)
