Have some question regarding the A9000

Hi

Have some question regarding the A9000

  1. Is 100Mbps max speed when using it in "injection mode"
  2. Can the device work in AP mode (or injection mode) in the 6GHz band?

Thanks :D

    There is no AP mode.

    Netgear says nothing about injection mode, but the MediaTek chipset doesn't preclude it.  So it might work (or might not).  AFAIK there is no speed cap built into the adapter.

      There are many other usage scenarios for these A9000/BE6500 devices beyond pure WiFi clients what Netgear does test and support.

      JoelBr  MediaTek MT7925U (Filogic 360 / Wi-Fi 7 chipset supports monitor mode and packet injection on Linux using the upstream mt76 / mt7925u driver.

      Nothing beyond of what is part of the product data sheet is supported by Netgear.

        https://lwn.net/Articles/939966/ does clearly state (since August 2023);

        "This series adds mt7925, a new mac80211 driver for MediaTek Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) device Filogic 360, which can support Station, AP, P2P, and monitor modes. Filogic 360 supports max 4096-QAM/160MHz radio operation at 6 GHz, 5 GHz, or 2.4 GHz with 2x2 antennas. This chip supports PCIe and USB bus type."

        Investigating further on, does show that users are successfully use monitor and inection modes on the :

        Worth following GitHub @ morrownr and investigate what is going on there ... JoelBr
