N300 WiFi Range Extender

Can I use my N300 in connection with a mobile phone which has poor connection with the existing router?

You're wanting to connect your EX2700 to a router?
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking here? Some more details are needed on what you're setup is and what you're trying to do.

When my wife uses her mobile phone in a room remote from the router, the signal is weak she has trouble connecting to the internet. The set up instructions for the EX2700 seem to imply that its main use is for laptops or similar.  How can she set up her phone with the EX2700 to improve internet connection?

it'd be just like with a tablet/laptop. Install the extender and then simply connect the phone to its wifi.

It can easily be used with phones. Nothing special to do for it.

You can find install guides, manuals, and firmware for the ex2700 here:

If you have an  EX2700 installed on your network, then you should be able to connect the phone to that in the same way that you connect the phone to any other wifi source. You just need to find the SSID from the  EX2700 and connect to that with the right password.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

WiFi Range Extenders & Nighthawk Mesh - NETGEAR Communities

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
