N300 WNA3100M Mini USB WiFi Adapter - system tells me I'm using wrong password

Have installed N300 on Win 7, connecting to a netgear router. All seems good but when I enter SSID and password and try to connect I keep getting the message that my password is wrong. It isn't, honest, because I use it on two other puters.

Any thoughts, peoples?

Thanks in advance

  • Does netgear have an actual e-mail address where you can ... ;e-mail and get an .... ;e-mail back from someone human?

I've spent over half an hour trying to get through the labyrinth that is the netgear support pages and for various reasons they reject whatever it is I'm trying to do. It could only really be more annoying if they said they valued my custom.

    Thanks.

      Hi arthurjackson,

      1. Are you using the Windows utility or Adapter genie to connect to your wireless network?

      2. Double check the password and the SSID since those are case sensitive.

Hello James - thanks for getting back to me :)

I used the setup CD on Win 7 so I presume that's the Windows utility - not sure what the Adapter genie is. I get the same when I try to connect using Ubuntu.

The password is all upper case and is the same I use on my laptop, so I'm sure that's not it.
