Hi jithins,
Welcome to Community!
Is the device connected at the back of your computer? Try to connect it in another USB port(in front if there is) or try to use the USB cradle and check the temperature of the device and if you still have disconnection.

Its not your adapter. its windows 10. mine worked perfectly fine til i upgraded to win10 and either slows down transfer rates or just stops working even though the light is on to say its connected
my normal NAS transfer rate is 25M. it drops to 15 after a while. pull adapter out of the cradle and put back in - back to 25M
it seems to take a while for the issue though, i leave my pc running for days at a time. but it happens while the connection is in use so its not sleep related

Hi jithins,
We can provide exact temperature for the unit but if you think it is not the normal temperature like it was before then it might be a hardware issue.
