what happens if you change the channel the 5ghz is on?
What link speed does you pc show?

I can't find any way to change the channel. (All I could find was instructions for changing it on netgear routers, but I don't have a netgear router)
The network channel is 100, and it says the channel speed is 1201/1201 (Mbps)

The broadcast channels are in the hands of your router. The adapter just looks for what is there and connects to that.
Any router should have instructions on how to change the wifi output. Find its manual and read that.
