Stuck at 54Mbps

I have the same problem but I have windows 7 so it’s not a windows problem. It's either a driver problem or a hardware problem. I plugged the A6200 adapter into my laptop and tested it right near the router and it's still the same speed. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
