Uninstalling Netgear WG111v3 crashes Windows 10

Help! I can't seem to uninstall old software. Im running Windows 10, and it picks up that I've got Netgear WG111v3 Wireless USB 2.0 Adaptor software installed.

Problem is, when I run an uninstall (by clicking remove program) I have problems.
The uninstall wizard runs, it looks like it removes the program.

But at the last minute my computer crashes. Windows 10 comes up with a "Critical Error" message. Something along the lines of

Start Menu and Cortana aren't working. We'll try to fix this next time you sign in.

My only option at this point is to sign out.

Is there any way I can remove the program? I got rid of the wireless adaptor years ago. It's just the crap software that I need to scrub from my PC

Yeah sort of. I eventually ran a registry cleaner (CCleaner) and manually deleted all Netgear files off my C: drive.
