Windows 8.1 Beta Driver
I have downloaded and installed the beta drivers for Windows 8.1 following the instructions provided by Netgear. However, I continue to have problems with it. It randomly disappears from my pc as if I've unplugged it from the USB port. Nothing else I have plugged into a USB port does this, so I don't believe it's a problem with my USB ports or drivers.
Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know a solution?
Thanks!

Coming from the V1.0.0.26 which for me at least has been very stable the new driver once installed seems to work untill a reboot is made and then the adapter disables.
Removed, back to previous stable driver but I'm still left wondering who actually tested this driver out before release.
Still wainting on a release for the R6250 that enables both CPU cores and full memory - Retired_Member[QUOTE= Still wainting on a release for the R6250 that enables both CPU cores and full memory[/QUOTE] I wouldn't hold my breath, They cannot get it working on the r6300v2 either.

Can you please elaborate a little on what you mean by no problems. - FairytailVirtuosoI have successfully installed the adapter using the beta firmware available in support site. I have been connected to my network with no disconnection issues. I tried restarting the computer and still connects to the wireless network.
- KarterJKNoviceUsing the R6200 router.
I used the A6200 adapter with few problems with Windows 8 & 8 Pro, got maximum speeds 866 mbps, distance was good, and no problems connecting. I do use Windows Media Center with Silicondust's HDHomerun Prime (cable card device), and I had pixilation problems with it. I could connect via my Aethos built-in adapter getting 300 mbps and zero picture problems, but that defeats the purpose of the hi-speed adapter, for large file transfers.
However, using it in Windows 8.1, is another story. I can manually connect it, get hi-speed through-put (866 mbps), BUT it will not automatically connect on startup, and though everything else works great once connected, it still has the pixilation problem with Media Center.
I have tried the older drivers and the newest beta driver. This is on an Acer laptop and Acer Iconia W700 tablet.
Any new updates would be helpful
