it still dies. (but far less frequently) long hours not seconds.
i see there are beta's up to Version. .35.
i'm doing all tests i can think of.
i switched to my USB 2 port, and tried not using an USB extension cable.
DT-M5a97R2.0 based sys.
why is the cord so short? at least 6 feet would be better .
PC on floor, antenna on top of book shelf aimed at DAP1525 (I run 2 wifi;s here) high is always better in radio systems.
But now going through 1 wall, and say 45feet to wifi hub.
I will keep trying each newer beta.
One other Symptoms.:
1: using netflix streaming as my test bed. 50mbs Internet service.
2: the device manager for this driver, show yellow every time, it dies.
3: the controls will not keep my WPA2 password when it dies.
4: unplugging it and put it back in wakes it up fast.
5: when working this new a6200 screams, it's very impressive. magic like.
6: the signal strength is very strong even with antenna on floor next to PC.
7: im testing to see if , it drops out , only when idle. later. i will report this.
8: one idea for the Genie app, front end, add a button, LOCK this SSID.
9: in the same vain, do not forget PW. lock in password.
i uses my wifi for only one reason here, desktops
running a wire thru my attic Cat6 would be a killer job.
I did one, and not again.
i need no mobility here, just a wire replacement , no need to scan for SSID's
none, not desired, the software should do that. but dont.
the win 8.1 front end is even worse. zero features.
this product has great promise.
thanks for making it.
