5g WiFi nolonger able to connect to internet through 3700 extender.

My dad recently switched our WiFi provider to Frontier, the router has dual band WiFi, It provides 2g and 5g bands. We have a range extender upstairs that we used with the previous wifi, I connected it to the new wifi and it worked for 2 days, since then, the 5g stopped connecting to the internet through the extender.

not all routers are created equal. Also 5ghz has less range and can't pass through as much material.

what are the led lights on it doing?

Also, if you log into the extender, it should have a display showing signal strength for each band. I'd use this to help with placement. Potentially the new router might not have as good a 5ghz radio and this caused a drop/poor connection. Thats where I'd start. Try moving the extender a little closer and potentially lateral to the router. Sometimes things within the walls can block signals and moving a few feet on way or the other can make a difference.

You can also try changing the wifi channels. For the 5ghz channels, try the higher bands (149+).

What firmware is on the extender?

What router did the isp install?

All the LED lights are green except for the router light, it's blinking orange and green. The router is an Arris NVG468MQ, provided by Frontier Communications.

did you try logging into the extender to check signal strengths?

The led doesn't show both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. 2.4ghz broadcasts further and through more materials but has much slower throughput than 5ghz. Try loggin in and checking. Also try moving the extender closer. Maybe the router isn't as good and the extender needs to be closer.

Im having similar issue with my EX3700 extender.  I have all green indicators, it shows good signal stregth when I connect to it with cable.  but when I try to wireless connect with another device It says no internet available.  This is same result for 5G or 2G band
