AC1200 Dual Band Range Extenders blocking direct connection
I have installed a pair of AC1200 dual band wifi range extenders. But they seem to be preventing my desktop PC from directly connecting to my broadband modem.
I can connect to the extenders, and when I do the internet works, but if I want to use a direct connection for faster speed, I "cannot connect to this network". Removing the extenders (and rebooting the modem) fixes the issue, but I'd like to keep the extenders installed for family members to use.
The problem only affects my desktop. My phone, laptop, and tablet all connect to my modem and the extenders without issue.
My PC is running Windows 11 Home. I have AVG internet security. I use Surfshark VPN, but uninstalling and reinstalling that has made no difference.

What actual extenders do you have? AC1200 is a speed.
What modem/gateway are the extenders connected to?
What method of setup did you use? WPS or the installation assistant?

They are both EX6110 extenders. I've given them separate SSIDs.
They're connected to a Virgin Hub 5.
They were connected via WPS.

Try installing them using the installation assistant and not wps. The virgin hubs seem to have been problematic for extenders. Sometimes installing with the installation assistant can help.
