Accessing My WGR614v8 in Access Point Mode
I have my WGR614v8 setup as an access point. Is there any way to review and reconfigure it thru my wireless network or is it only accessable by connecting it by ethernet directly to my PC?

- Retired_Membercheck router attached devices to find IP given to AP then you should be able to access it.
- neil154AspirantThanks for the response but I do not see the IP set up for the Netgear, I thought it might be 192.168.1.100 but that does not seem to work. I tried attaching a screen print from my Linksys E3200 but I could not figure out how to include a attachment so instead I did a copy of the screen (which is more difficult to understand)
I would appreciate your help.

You can not post local file for other to see ... Not workingI thought it might be 192.168.1.100
Can not be a guess game.. It's either it is nor not.
If you don't know the IP you setup WGR then download free app like " angry IP scanner" and scan entire network and find it or REDO by reset the unit and make a notes - neil154AspirantI was not just guessing on the IP, it was the only IP reserved that I could not recognize (see previous post)
Did my image post not work? How do I insert an image, I tried using the "insert image" icon then I put in the path to the image on my hard drive rather than putting in a URL. Is that the correct way? - jmizoguchiVirtuosoSetup STATIC IP on WGR itself and use IP OUTSIDE the dhcp range. If you don't you have not have this issues.
Use image post like http://imageshack.us and post it - neil154AspirantSince the image that I wanted to post was on my hard drive and not on the web I do not understand how to post an image

I believe I understand what you you are saying. If I did that when I originally configured it as an access point then is there any way I can access the unit through my network? - jmizoguchiVirtuosoIf you have setup static IP on WGR and IP is same lan subnet as your existing then should work fine. You can not use WAN/Internet port when used as access point. Must to use on of the LAN ports to existing network
otherwise all should be okay - neil154AspirantSince I am not able to figure out how I configured this router as an access point, I connected it directly to my PC by ethernet and then I tried accessing it. I tried 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.0, www.routerlogin.com and www.routerlogin.net. In all cases I was not able to access the router I just got meesage that address was not good (never got to ask me for password etc).
Can you please help me access the router configuration (it is working fine as an access point).
