Amazon says EX2700 can be used as access point, thru software switch (it has no hardware AP switch)

Also, I have gathered from&nbsp;a few Amazon reviewers that EX2700 can easily be&nbsp;set up&nbsp;in AP Mode, by simply&nbsp;connecting it to wireless modum/router with ethernet cable.&nbsp;Can someone here provide or&nbsp;point me to a simple step-by-step procedure for setting up my new EX2700 (Essentials Edition) as a wireless access point?&nbsp;Thanks in advance for any help.&nbsp;hl-louisiana

Thanks DarrenM,&nbsp;If that is the case, can you tell me why Netgear apparently provided Amazon technical specs that it CAN&nbsp;be used as an AP, through a "software switch" ??&nbsp;See link below. The Netgear technical info and packaging for the EX2700&nbsp;also states clearly it will work with ANY wifi router.&nbsp;And, quite a few reviewers at Amazon claim to have set these up as APs and enjoyed excellent results.&nbsp;In the past, I've had great experiences with Netgear products, so I am quite surprised that the specs represented by Netgear for this EX2700 are not accurate.&nbsp;Regardless, thanks again for your help.&nbsp;I guess I just wasted money, time and a great deal of frustration attempting to install, by purchasing two of these extenders.&nbsp;HL-louisiana
