www.mywifiext.net is not a website on the Internet. It's a clever way to log into your own extender. In order for it to work, you need to be connected to your extender. This means either connecting to its Wi-Fi signal or its Ethernet port. If you are trying to connect to its Wi-Fi signal but you have forgotten the Wi-Fi password, then use the button to reset it to factory settings. Insert a straightened paper clip into the hole of the Factory Reset button and hold it for about seven seconds. Then proceed to set it up from scratch. You may find the manual helpful.
Thank You,I did do all that several times.It does show me having a connection with 5 full bars with the wi-fi address my routers name and the _ext next to it.It also keeps connecting to my same wi-fi address without the _ext next to it and it does not matter if I uncheck the "connect automatically" box or not.I even have the genie installed and that shows a great signal.I just do not have a netgear modem but I have Timewarners.I,m just stumped.It actually works better with both connected.
