Cannot connect my Netgear EAX12 extender to my Netgear RAX10 router.

Blank messages are always a bad sign. There isn't enough room to cram everything into the subject.
What are you doing and what goes wrong?
You can help people to help you by providing the information suggested in this forum's header:
Subject (Include model number and brief summary)
Model (Recommended - Helps the community give the best answers)
Body (Include additional detail including model version, firmware, OS and environment where relevant.)They are there for a good reason.

Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.- The router and extender are both new. I’ve tried setting up the extender per the manual and the Netgear_ext does not show up in my available networks to connect to. I’ve also connected my extender to my router with Ethernet line with no success. When I tried using network map with the Nighthawk router app to manage the extender and my router password is not recognized when I try using the app.
If there is one it might also help if you told people the make and model number of the modem/gateway/ONT that sits between this router and the Internet. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
I ask because a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.
