cannot open https website?
Hi
My PC cannot open sites that starts with https when the PC is connected to the extender with wire. Doesn't matter which 3 browser i use.
When that happen, I always had to reboot the extender. That gets very annoying.
My extender is connected through the netgear nighthawk router wirelessly.
Os there a way to fix it without having to reboot every single time?

- WizardJLuminaryHave you tried wiring several PCs to the extender to see if the problem occurs?
Also, make sure to upgrade to the latest firmware if you haven't already. Download and instructions can be found on this link:

I suggest you open a ticket so that support team can assist you.
- jmyazAspirantI have experienced the same issue. I have a new EX2600, and I have updated the firmware to v1.0.0.46. I only have a Windows 7 computer and a VOIP appliance connected via CAT 5 cable to the extender. There is no wireless connections to the extender. The only way to resolve the issue is to reboot the device. I have noted when the problem occurs, I have not other issues connecting to any other websites, just secured / https websites. I have a open ticket with NetGear support, so I will post any results from that case.
- jmyazAspirantI worked with Netgear support to troubleshoot the issue. I ended up sending them my configuration, in which they tried to replicated the problem with but were unable to. I have an RMA to return my unit for a new one, in the hope the new unit will not have the issue.
- jmyazAspirantI have received the replacement unit, installed it and the problem persists. I have found it will work great for three days, then sometime on the third day the issue will reappear. I have connected 4 different computers (3 - Window 7 / 1 - Windows XP) and they all have the same issue. I have opened another support case with Netgear support to hopefully get to the root cause of the issue.
- storm_2003NoviceWhen you connect your laptop directly to the router's SSID were you able to access https sites fine?
- jmyazAspirantYes, once I disconnected from the EX6200 and connected to the routers Wifi I was able to access the https websites without any issues. I did not have to reboot, just refresh the web page and I was connected.
