Cannot reach 1gb speed
It is not able to reach 1gb speed as the attached picture, but I can reach 1gb speed when my laptop plug into the boardand modem with LAN cable. I am already using CAT6 LAN cable.
Try installing version 1.0.9.42 of the firmware. Factory reset the router and then during setup, only change what's needed to get the internet working. Then speedtest.
If you're getting the full speeds, then you can start making changes and testing as you go so you know if something impacts it.
and if it works, disable auto updates.

How are you testing speeds? wired? wireless? wireless won't hit 1gig speeds fyi.
What firmware is on the router?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
Did you have qos, access control, traffic monitoring, parental controls, enabled at some point? If so, try factory resetting the router and reinstalling it with making sure those services aren't enabled.
- I m already using the speed test inside the nighthawk apps with wired CAT6 lan cable. The firmware version is 1.0.9.88_10.2.88. qos, access control, traffic monitoring, parental controls were off. I have also tried factory reset and reinstalled whole config, it just make it connect to wan after factory reset. However it is still cannot reach 1gb speed.

don't use the built in app. it doesn't pick the best servers and I haven't found it to get anywhere closee to maxing out a gigabit connection.
Try dslreports.com or speedtest.xfinity.com or fast.com
Make sure to test over a hardwired connection as the R7000 won't get close to maxing out a gig speed over wireless.
