cannot set up nighthawk x4 AC2200
Hello,
I would be grateful for anyone's experience with this. I have been trying for an entire day to connect my NH Mesh to my updated Century link modem C4000xg router/modem.
I tried to just set them up to "talk to one another" using the nighthawk app, but it said that the modem doesn't support the app.
I've tried factory restarting everything and I tried unsuccessfully to go into my modem's controls and add the mesh as a device.
I'm now reading that I need to disable my CL router so that the extender can be the router.
I looked at my Mac Authentification, but it was not clear and I'm afraid to try to do this and that I'll have no internet at all.

What NR product are your refferring too? AC2200 is not a model #

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.
