Configuring a default route / gateway - MBRN3000
Hi,
Not sure if the title correctly captures what Im trying to do, but basically Im trying to make a work-around so that I can use my LTE connection with the MBRN.
I have the LTE dongle connected to a PC, on which Ive configured ICS. This is working as wired devices on my LAN can access the internet through the PC as a gateway.
This PC is also connected via wired LAN to the MBRN3000, all on the 192.168 subnet. What I need however is for a means of configuring the MBRN3000 to forward all traffic to the PC (192.168.137.1).
Ive tried to setup a default static route, by forwarding 0.0.0.0 to 192.168.137.1 but the router does not accept this config.
Next I tried to setup the IP adress associated with www.google.com as a static route forwarded to 192.168.137.1, but the wireless device still cant access www.google.com - i get an error from the MBRN3000 saying that the USB device is not connected.
Ive looked into port forwarding, but this seems to be intended for inbound traffic, not outbound.
Any ideas as to how I can get this setup to work?
All I need is to configure the equivalent of a gateway address on the MBRN3000, so that all traffic is routed to my PC.
Thanks in advance,

- jmizoguchiVirtuosoif you are using MBRN behind the PC as ICS then you are using as AP setup so any rules you create does not apply.
you pc must do all your binding and/or traffic directing. - JaxxNovice

I see; didnt think of that - will look into it, thanks!
Just a question though - when I connect to the Wifi and enter a URL, I get a "USB Device missing" error from the MBRN, and not a webpage unavailable message which is what I would expect.
Sounds to me like the MBRN is 'hard-wired' to route all ranges outside the local LAN (192.168 range in my case) via the USB device ?
Is is there a config option to change this ? - jmizoguchiVirtuoso

you have to use compatible 3G dongleSounds to me like the MBRN is 'hard-wired' to route all ranges outside the local LAN (192.168 range in my case) via the USB device ?

if you are using 3G dongle on PC's USB and use ethernet port of the the same PC to hook MBRN to do ICS then setup are based on ICS from your PC
MBRN is used as only access point so there isn't much
DHCP disable / sepecify correct IP for MBRN hooking to your pc's ethernet.
