EX2700 N300, connected to internet but not device light at all
Hi there,
I have recently moved into a new house and have brought along the same wifi extender which i used at my old house which worked perfectly. However when i connect this extender to the router the device light only goes green when i connect my phone to it. However the main reason for using the extender is for my desktop and whenever i connect my desktop to the extender through an ehternet cable, the device light turns off instead.
Is there anyway some one can tell me how to fix this or if i need to buy a new extender.
So far i have reset it and disconnected it from the wifi 2/3 times and still no joy

I forgot to mention that my desktop is recieving internet from it, however it doesn't say that the ethernet is connected to the extender, just network 3. Also the problem is that the internet here is very fast but is so slow and not consistant on the computer, which i think has something to do with the reason for the device light not being switched on as when i checked on the netgear website it said it wasn't connected to the internet

Well, the device LED is only lit when a client device is connected. I don't own this particular extender, so I am not sure what the LED behavior is when only a client ethernet device is connected. It might also depend on the power management settings in the PC.
What color is the router LED on the extender?

What speed is your internet service?
The router LED is lit Green, all LED's are lit green apart from the device, which only goes green when i connect my phone.
I used this extnder in my old house and the device LED lit up straight away when i connected it to the same computer.
It is stable at 54 megabits per second
