EX2700 suddenly won't connect to router.

So my EX2700 has been working perfectly for 6 months without any issues at all, but I recently messed with the settings online, changing the extender password. It worked fine after that too until it suddenly just wouldn't connect to the router. I moved it into the same room as the router, even plugged an ethernet cable into it and the router light would just not come on. I tried factory resetting it and setting it up again, but it gets to the last stage of the smart set-up and says it cannot connect to the router, no matter whether I try setting it up on my phone or my laptop. The device light, power light and WPS light are all on, but the router one just will not turn on anymore. I have also tried setting it up with WPS with no results, but my router still works, just not the extender.

 

Does anyone have any ideas?

  • This is the error message that comes up whenever I try to connect my extender using the Genie, even though it has previously worked for a good 6 months with no errors... It just doesn't seem to connect to the router no matter what I try, and the password is definitely correct. Any ideas on what to do to fix it? It's really starting to frustrate me and I don't know whether I should just buy another one when the same problem may persist.

      Have you tried a different web browser when you factory reset and go through the setup process again?
